more trouble...in spain this time

Rather nasty. A couple of our lads are out there but watching the game in a bar in Seville. A safe option I think.

There is hardly ever any trouble in spain,i can maybe understand that there maybe problems in italy but every other team seems to be able to go to spain and not have problems so why shouldn't tottenham.Problem is foreign countries don't take kind to english fans drinking 20 pints and telling the local coppers to f*ck off every time they are told to stop being a nuisance

Tottenham have been causing trouble all over the country this year and they were clearly throwing seats last night therefore they are guilty!

none of the ones rucking looked like spanish!

In all honesty big derby games are usually recipes for trouble. But seville v tottenham is not a big derby game and the hatred was vented more against the police. If you can't behave in someone elses country then don't be surprised if the old bill over there give you a hiding for being a pr1ck!

The police in Seville were a joke! They were obviously expecting trouble and thought that they would stop it before it starts by flexing their muscles. Unfortunately and inevitably, all this did was to aggrevate the Spurs fans. We were charged by the horses for no apparent reason in the fan park they had set up for Spurs fans!

We didn't get tickets cos we had a coach back to Madrid booked for 11pm, bit of a close shave to say the least, would have been impossible to have got back if we had been kept in. The bar we were in soon had Spurs fans coming in half way through who had either left or been thrown out, some of these guys were obviously not troublemakers but had been caught up in this b****cks.

Braga was the same, kept in the stadium for 45 minutes after kick off due to incompetent policing and then the batons come out as soon as their is any kind of protest.

The English hooligan reputation has these foreign police forces trying overly hard to prevent trouble, but in reality it is them that are causing this.

The English hooliganism that is so widely feared simply just doesn't exist anymore. What happened in the 70's/80's has clearly given us reputation that we're unfortunately finding hard to shrug off. Police heavy handedness; using a baton to solve everything does nothing more than pour petrol onto the flames.

What's happening on the continent, perhaps more so in Italy than elsewhere, is what we experienced a few decades ago. Until they sort their stadiums out - which won't happen till there's an accident of a hillsborough proportions - this trouble between rival fans will persist.

so tottenham didn't have a "firm" out in seville, rubbish they went there looking for trouble and when it erupted their boys were there.Fair enough innocent footy fans were involved but tottenham have probably the most active firm in england at the moment and all the usual suspects were seen in the lower tier kicking off!

There were plenty of them out there, as there have been at every away European match this season. However, in this case they can't be blamed for starting the trouble. Sure, when it all went off I'm sure they didn't help in resolving the matter, but there were plenty of people trying to calm things down who were just being belted for no reason. And the stories about the disabled man in a wheelchair and his minder being hit and knocked out if true are just shocking.

Watch this video from 0.50 onwards to see what their attitude was to a bloke with his hands up doing nothing wrong.

Listening on Talksport this morning about the guy and his young daughter who were both hit by a policeman. Absolutely horrible stuff.
