The way I saw it was that the small group of armed facist got wind that a much bigger group facist were going to take on some other small defenceless groups, they knew which side the ciabatta was buttered and decided to join forces (hoping to get the trains to run on time too). When the attack began the facist group gave it all the biggun until the battle reached their doorstep, but the defenceless had now become the aggressors and the whole thing went pearshaped as they also had some big mates who lived across the lake. The original small group decided they no longer wanted to be in with the other nasty big group and changed sides once or twice until they were on the 'winning' side. But nobody really believed them. Last night was almost a re-enactment of this historical process without the tooiing and throwing as the defenceless remained defenceless and without means of defence and spoiling the whole thing.

My grandfather took part in something like this some years ago and stayed behind in Rome to see the ruins and then married one! Which really annoyed my grandma at home with the kids!

 

There may be some smoothing over some of the facts in the above and I'm sure someone on here will rectify that but I don't expect it to be anyone from Hullbridge camp as nobody believes his 'interpretations' of events football matters let alone anything else!
