But pro sides do it as well. Quite a few of the relegation threatened sides field weak cup teams to 'blood' their youngsters and Middlesborough did it in the league a couple of weeks back when they had a big cup match approaching....

He never leaves the centre circle anyway unless it's to take a free kick or corner!!

.
Yes thats right and do you remember what Neil Warnock said about that? ok Warnock may be a mouhty git but he was right.

WHY would you want to rest players for a big game like Harefield at home, would you not want to see how good you are against a top 3 side?

Because it's a nothing game for Broxbourne and a great game to test prospective players in against a top side.

Unfortunate and not ideal but I do beleive clubs should look after their own priorities first.

Should be, depending on whether my groin has healed after 3 games in 5 days last week. And whether im picked of course!!

Should be there to grace the turf, which i hear is the best in the league. True or False?

Obviously from a Hertford perspective we would want Broxbourne to put out their best side! BUT... from the first game of the season it's in your own hands! If you win all your own games you win the league.

to be honest if you play any team from say 5th to 5th from bottom at this time of the season you got to be looking at getting a good result...most of these teams have nothing to play for and in most cases the money has long gone...the players are already on the beach !....It sounds like a good idea to start bloodin some youngsters in these teams...at least they are hungry and raring to go !

Take both just in case. The u7s were doing some training on it and there was mud sticking to their boots (which they then traipsed into the stand)

Most teams are doing it this time of year, those that have nothing to play for will use games to look at ressies, youth players rather than wasting pre season on it. Personally dont see anything wrong with it. We have done it to an extent the last 3 or 4 games at Cambo, trying few things out and it has cost us points but rather find these things out now than next season when the points might matter more. As NF said have to look after your own cause first.

Ok squad rotation is one thing but in his words fielding a bunch of under 18 and fringe players against the side 3rd in the leaue is another. I cant belive that Hertford would be happy as a win for Harefield on Thursday will send them above Hertford.

The thing you are all missing is that according to blues06 the reason SHOULD they play a weakened side is NOT because of squad rotation or 'blooding' young players, it is in his words..."as we want herefield to run edgware as close as possible for the title!"

That has to be wrong, not just because its us, but for the league as a whole!
