Hello! (New here.......)

I've not long moved to Langley & have decided to find out what Slough FC is all about. I suppose it helps when Steve Hale (who I played cricket with for Harlington CC & played football with & against over a number of years!) is on the staff along with Darron, who I used to follow around the country when he played for the team in Middx beginning with the letter 'H'.....ahem....)

Anyway, you should always support your local club.....which is what I intend to do from now on......when I'm not trolling around the UK, playing in a tribute band. Margate on Saturday then. See you all there!!!

Cheers Rebel! I've scoured through the forum already & it's obvious that the supporters are second to none......or high as kites! The calssic was the song about the Ryman League being upside down....pure class!!!

Being on my doorstep, it's about time I followed the local lads.....

Cheers Charlie.....as I said, I can't promise to be at every game due to me band commitments, BUT what finer place to be when I can??!!!!! Besides I might be even to squeeze away games in, if they are in the same neck of the woods as the shows!!!

Well, well, well.......my frist game accompanied by my good lady, Linda and what happens? 2-2, a screamer from Matty Miller, a mass brawl & 3 red cards!!!! Is it like that EVERY week?????!!!

To be fair, on that performance I couldn't understand why Slough are where they are, but then the season is judged over more than one game. At least the side gave Wilko a response after the AFC Wimbledon game. I was impressed with Carl Dennison - safe handling & calmness personified, Steve Daly - old head on even older shoulders (well I do know him!!), Rav Braith - might be small, but very cool & good distribution and Terry Davies - ran for everything nice touches & strong on the ball. Morale must be way up after that performance!!

It was good to catch up with Wilko, Daly & Haley in the bar after (jeez, that sounds like a firm of solicitors!). It's a shame that due to band commitments the next game I can make will be v Staines. Still another good draw v Ashford bodes well for next season. Up the Rebels!!

Dr S - Thanks for the welcome. I really enjoyed Saturday's game.....I hope it is the start of something for the Rebels.

LiveWire - an AC/DC tribute.....this weekend Thursday in Ebbw Vale, Friday in Cornwall & Saturday in Frome. THAT is the reason I can't always make it on a weekend, but weekdays - hey, no problemo!!
