Re the Faux Pax allegedly caused by the Press Association on Saturday re the Billingham Synthonia Vase scoreline saying 5-4 on pens to them when AFC Totton actually won the match by that score - I was reading a free copy of that bastion of truth, the Daily Mail in a cafe this morning and the error is still there in the Sports results, so my question is .. Do Sports Departments take PA information for gospel or is it someone's job to check it ?..... over to you Coup !

Most of the nationals now use PA page ready for results and fixtures. Because PA employ feckwits you only have to look at the Teletext fixtures and in most nationals during the early part of the season, and you will find many a club playing a league game and and FA Cup replay on the same night or during the same week.
