the best announcer (if that's the right term)in football.

 

My vote goes to Max, everyones vote should go to Max.

 

I've been supporting the Urchins for about 5 years, so seen the good, the difficult and the dissapoitment of the Urchin's fans. I've been to a lot of away games (this year missed only 2 or 3) and I've never seen anyone come close to Max, for talking to the home and away fans, announcing the teams (give up some noise for the boise), announcing the winner of the 50/50 but some special memories.....

 

* he may/may not remember this but my son was mascot at the Gravesend FA cup game - I will always remeber how he looked after us

 

* the night in Southend with the cup, screaming to the fans "come on, get in there"

 

* a few chats in the bar with my friend Tony ( a friend of Max)

 

* at an away game his banter with the home fans then the "well done, thank you...." comsumate gentleman behaviour

 

* his ablsoute and unadalterated passion for all things Urchin

 

and finally just for proof (although no proof is required)

 

* this Sunday, the u13 team winning their Echo Leauge at the Stadium (Uncle on burgers), Max on the mike making everyone feel special and giving the kids the feeling that they are truly part of this great club

 

Enough said, I think we should all be very thankful that Max is an Urchin........., perhaps The Urchin

we all agree with that sheps in its entirety except for one thing...there are many urchins and they all do their stuff for the club....there is no THE URCHIN....just so many of the little beggars who work tirelessly and many quietly behind the scenes for the love of their club....max is indeed the best match day presenter/announcer in the ryman leagues and beyond....but he is just part of a great team to which you and your family also belong....
