the bar is indeed open at 11am as usual....

the reason for the 3pm kick off is because of other games locally starting at 12/1pm...many people will come to the bridge after their own games for what promises to be a great game of football against local rivals who will be doing everything they can to stop us getting the trophy after the game (if it goes to the monday that is)

note to all canvey fans....

the gates will be locked after entry so no one can get OUT until AFTER the presentation... grin

Ha Ha, reminds me of the Play Off final in Cardiff a few years ago when Palace beat West Ham 1-0. At the final whistle, I jumped up and said to the wife and son, "that's it, we're off". To which she replied, bless her, "are'nt we gonna wait and see the winning team be presented with the trophy?"..... "No we F**kin' ain't" I roared, much to the amusement of all the other Hammers fans within earshot!!!

As we were walking out of the stadium, she was still muttering "I don't understand why we came all this way and we don't stay to watch the presentation".... I'm not taking her to any more games!!!

If we have been locked in until after the presentation that day, I think we would have torn the place down. grin

As long as the bar is open, that's cool by me.

now now big man...as you know we would never segregate at the bridge unless the local authorities forced it upon us.....the canvey fans will be welcomed amongst us and fed and watered as our guests and I am sure will contribute to a great days footie and banter...

I have a good feeling about this game on bank holiday monday.... applause
