There is no next gen console war, the PS3 is a far suporior machine, end of conversation.

 

The Xbox is a very good games console and has some fantastic games but in a few years we'll see the PS3 reach levels the Xbox cannot dream of.

Yeah. Ukrainian Phil won two tickets in corporate hospitality and invited me up so I didn't have to pay plus I got free food and drinks all afternoon. And we won 2-0. Doesn't get much better than that.

That brings back memories! I had a book of Spectrum games. Size of a telephone directory. I think I did about 5 games out of it, 2 of which worked out of the book, the others I debugged and improved! Mind you it sowed the seeds of my future career as I am a software engineer now. Not programming games though worst luck.

The only problem with PS3 is Blu-ray. Back in history Sony make Betamax. It was far better format than VHS, but Sony scored a own goal by saying the the adult entertainment industry could not use their video format for their programmes. Sony proving that they have not learnt anything from their mistakes have made the exact same statement about Blu-ray. So expect Blu-ray tot go the same way as Betamax and HD-DVD to become the format standard.
