I bet if it were ......

Chelsea, Man U or Arsenal they would not be expected to play in Spain on Thursday night and play away to the league champions Saturday lunchtime.

Well that is what Spurs have to do this weekend!

Two sets of rules me thinks?

I agree with what you are saying Coup but if that's not how it is these days that it should be the same for everyone.

squad of 16 players and not 35,slower football, less athleticism, champions league games only 4-5 the most and knock-out stuff.International fixtures very sporadic, methods of training very different, consequently less injuries.Football has changed immensely,on and off the pitch as well...just look at the pages dedicated to football in every newspaper these days.

Chances are we'll lose against Chelsea anyway, so I'm not really bothered, as long as we get a decent result in Seville then I'm happy.

If we get through the UEFA I think we'll have the same problem when we have to play the Gooners, that's one game I REALLY don't want to lose.

whatever day it was, I was there. Just went along and queued, paid me money and watched the game with a load of Leeds fans who were hoping to see Spurs win. I think that Leeds would have won the league if Arsenal lost. No problems when Arsenal won, just handshakes all round. grin

Retired in 1984 aged 33 following the onset of Parkinson's Disease.

As a 16 year old he was told by Stanley Matthews (Then Port Vale's manager) that he wouldn't make a professional footballer. doh
