Kenneth Lewell 10/12/1932 - 1/4/2007

I have had this email from Andy Lewell, who has let me know about the passing of his father Kenneth Lewell, who played for Hornchurch in the late 50's and early 60's.

 

He was wondering if there was anybody who may have known him and whether you could give any history of his playing career that could be included in the service.

 

If anyone can assist, please post here and I will pass the info onto Andy.

I understand he joined Hornchurch during the 1955-56 season from chingford and played for us until 1961-62 season, he also represented the delphian and athenian leaques.

The following extract is taken from the 1957-58 Hornchurch and Upminster handbook

Ken Lewell. This 24 year old center half improves with every game he plays and honours must surely come his way before long. A resolute tackler, is in his third season with us joining from chingford.
