According to the Ryman bulletin we have signed him from Ramsgate. A quick look at their site shows he scored a few for their reserves early in the season but he does not appear to have played for the first team.

Anyone know any more?

I think RB is correct there, but what was that about Petit?

 

True or false ?

 

Why would we actualy want to sign Petit if he is not even a regular for Ramsgate?

In fairness, i know absolutely nothing about him or his abilities, but seems an odd one and an un-Trott like gamble,so suspect its false

Can't see we've signed Simon Petit as it was him who scored against 'Ricay on Saturday. If we had signed him surely we want him now, rather than let him play the rest of the season for a rival team who can affect our promotion push.

Hands off. Grow your own local players. Don't think either Schultz or Pettit would change colours anyway- it would be a move sideways which makes no sense. Plus they are the management's popular local boys at Ramsgate, which wouldn't be the case at Gate. You only have to look at what happens to Ramsgate players that leave for Margate to answer why it would be a stupid move- Bagley-resie, Cory-resie, K Morris-resie along with others I'm sure.

you tw-t Ramos Ollie was a product of Margate signed for margate at u11s stayed until school of excellence opened and was signed to that untill under 16s then played local football for westbrook Aqua And Northwood but other than that he is a Ramsgate local product of their youth setup.

 

Please look at your own players a bit more closely and you will find that most have come from Margate then over to Ramsgate including Kierons brother Liam.

 

As for this thread ask Kieron why he came to Margate and he will tell you that he was'nt getting anywhere near the first team place he wanted so thought he would go back to Margate and play for their reserves with his mates and for Mark Weatherley because he finds his style and expert coaching better than he had at Ramsgate.

 

He is young and feels with the guidance of Weatherley he has a better chance of progressing.

 

So to sum up Ramos stop talking out your [****!!****] and get your facts right or don't bother posting.

If he had stayed at Margate, would he have progressed under Kinnear and be playing first team there now? NO.

The MOST crucial point of a youth section is the player's transition between YOUTH football and the SENIOR team.

I'm sure Red Arrows and Hugin Vikings would claim some part to other players youth development, but it was the second most local senior team- Ramsgate who gave the local talent a first team chance!

 

To summarise without swearing:

Ollie played for Ramsgate u18's- youth football- product of Rams youth set up.

Morris would have had a better chance at Rams.

Schultz and Pettit would be mad to sign for Gate
