Away to Folkestone and a woeful performance by Margate let Folkestone take the points. Another poor pitch saw a one nil lead, a fine goal from an acute angle from outside the box from Jamie McClean, fade to a half time score of 3-1, with one well taken goal and two that are best forgotten Margate gave it all away. Second half saw a better show as Margate fought back and were for most part the better side. Another well taken goal from Jamie with 30 mins to go gave hope but Margate were too slow to get forward and again too many passes were given away. The few chances that came were hit well but off target. Margate would have been lucky to get something from this game, as it was the result was about right. (take away the 2 give me`s and we may have sen a better Margate)

Along with the first team and other Margate youth sides the u18 meet Rams at Hartsdown next Sunday, 11 o/c kick off. With Ramsgate also fadding and lossing today it is sure to be. if nothing else, an exciting game a Margate win would put them above Rams in the league.
