Now only 1 goal behind Benson for Golden Boot - Charlie has 22, Benson 23 and we have 1 more game to play than Daggers. Lets hope Charlie continues his recent hot spell of scoring (11 in last 15 games played, I believe and a goal in all the last 3 matches) and not only pushes us into a play off spot, but himself into the Golden Boot winning position.

Lord Chas seemed pretty resigned yesterday to losing Charlie at the end of the season and he is probably right.

 

Charlie certainly deserves a chance at a higher level but it would be nice to see him leave with the Golden Boot.

Incidentally, you can still get 9/2 on Charlie to be top scorer while its 1/3 about Benson - in a virtual 2 horse race, a pretty generous offer on Charlie, I think.

Surely not......not much of a challenge there ! Where's Harry j ? He reckoned Orient ? I'd rather Charlie stay, obviously, but if he goes, surely not Gillingham ?! I think I'd rather he joined Warnock's piggy "bankers" than Gillingham ( or...then again....maybe not !?)

Yeah I know they are in Division One of the Football League (only just), but that surely cannot be seen as a step-up can it?
