On that note, if anyone on the Trust board is reading this, are there any plans to setup a Paypal account, or something similar, to allow people to make online donations? This stems from the anonymous AFCW poster the other day who wished to make a donation.

None of us are reading this or paying any attention to it.

Seriously, I'll raise both issues at the Board meeting on Thursday if I get chance. In respect of the Paypal thing is this something that one of you guys (I'm thinking one of the technophiles Gary, King Tut, Tom, Chris or Webby) would be able to set up for us. I would not have the faintest idea how to begin. Presumably we would need to give you the account number and then it would be paid directly in?

Martin, I can certainly set it up on behalf of the Trust, but as with the email, it does really need to be checked on a regular basis and moving forwards it would be best if one of the board were to check it.

That said, if the board are happy enough, I will set it up and monitor it as best I can. Let me know.

This is Ian (not Kay) but I don't know how to sign her back in.

If you're after an electronic solution to fund raising try the justgiving.com site at www.justgiving.com.

You can just e-mail the link around to people and get them to donate there and then. They take a small fee but with the gift aid element added in plus the fact you'll have the money up front rather than taking ages to collect it and even then never all of it, it more than compensates. Far better than PayPal, IMO, as you can have a dedicated page telling people about the event.
