Exciting times....

..not only did we get through to the League Cup final yesterday, but the best news was that an American tycoon called Floyd Paraisol wants to take over at Romford. He apparently has said he has found a 15 acre site in the Borough and will build a stadium 'befitting of a Championship side'.

Floyd is flying in next week for talks with the committee and wants to push this through as soon as possible and building work could commence in August...

Onwards and upwards... yay

From the Br ntwood FC website:

"Sunday 1st April News Index

Ground Grading success

This morning the Club had its final ground grading visit from the Football Association and we are assured that the Report going back to the FA is "all positive". This means that if we are succesful in the league we will be promoted to Ryman Division One North for next season.

Well done to all the people involved in the recent work. An enormous amount has been done, including upgrading the covered area outside the clubhouse so that we can now seat 150 people there. There is a also a new covered standing area behind the goal at the car park end, a new committee room, toilets and dugouts.

They were doing A LOT of work on Saturday!

Hahahah quote from one of the Brentwood officials...

"If the ball goes behind the goal where the ground-work is going on, can you please make sure the Goalkeeper does not go fetch the ball. Please let the children go get it!"

PMSL!

But I see that Carl Griffiths scored a couple for Maldon in their win on Saturday!

Had his confidence really shaken out of him with his two tussles against our Paul Clayton and especially on Dec 23! yay
