Billericay 0 Ramsgate 1 FT

Recommended Posts

Well what can you say?

Today we were just unable to make any of our countless number of chances tell and Ramsgate nicked one near the end.

I would imagine our game plan worked fairly well, tightish in the first half against the wind and the after the break we completely dominated. One triple-penalty shout turned down, two efforts against the woodwook and so many other chances it was untrue. I think they scored the only time they were in our half second half but that's footy I suppose.

It's still all to play for but Hampton look in a very strong position now...Surely it's not gonna be a cough...Come on Chelmsford for their clash on Friday.

Have to mention to two Ramsgate manager/coaches who were quality banter all through the game, easily the best from the Oppo so far this season.

Our lads worked hard again today but it was just one of those days....

Macca Heffer Swaine Kerrers

Whelps Hunter Dorms Wareham (Hill)

Flack Burbridge (Holland)

Well, at least we don't have the "undefeated at home" tag to live up to now!

Just couldn't find the back of the net despite numerous chances and eventually paid the price. Cruel but can't complain.

Burbs played the best I've seen him in a blue shirt. Looked really sharp and hungry. Flackie caused havoc. How did we not score???

Every time Chelmo trip up we fail to punish them. Still, makes it exciting! Still everything to play for although Hampton are looking strongly placed. And AFC appear to be throwing everything at it.

It's a funny old game.

Both of our games you have had the lion share of chances, both of the games we have won. Just not ment to be for you guys!

After our game at Southwood you picked out the good things rather saying "They are all thugs and the ground is a bombsite" like some braindead supporters of other clubs do. After todays game, one of your fans said "you were one of the friendliest clubs we have played". I doubt many clubs would have fans saying that about us, especially after a defeat. Your fans are a credit to your club.

Good luck for the rest of the season (well next week atleast!). You deserved more than you got to day, but our players never gave up and in the end that was decisive.

Yes, noticeably more gracious than your friends from Chelmsford. Obviously they cannot stomach not beating a team like us with their bitter comments. Strikes me that they think having washed up ex-league players like Minton and never will be league players like Boylan they think they have a divine right to win, but instead of looking at their own inadequacies they want to blame anyone but themselves for their failure.

I guess a town which wrongly thinks it's a city is bound to have psychologicla problems. Good luck when you play them as well as the bluenoses at Hartsdown - maybe we'll meet in the play-offs.

We couldn't have put it better ourselves!

Just noticed yesterdays official attendance was 661. Good turnout and shows what a bit of success can do. Spot of sunshine no doubt helped as well.
