Wimbledon v. Slough Town. SCORE?

From the AFCW board:

"Slough fans probably deserve any awards going today. Good numbers, supported their team and stayed to the end. Hope we're as good if we ever lose 9-0."

Hopefully we can carry this sort of support on into next season wherever we may end up.

Ballons, streamers, loads of songs, Warren baiting the stewards, Sliski moaning about the ref, and singing "were going to win 10 -9....!

All 21 of the squad present and 5 fit players on the bench.

Roy and Deaner in the stand - Roy only there so he can get his nose in the trough in the presidents lounge!!!!

Well done to all the fans!!!

Genuinely sorry to see your season pan out this way, onwards and upwards for next season. Slough is a considerably better local derby than Cheshunt or Basingstoke or whoever we normally end up with.

Hope you all had a good day today, a late season "our season's already over" party day is always fun. Been there more than once over recent seasons....

I'd be lying if i thought that anyone believed they'd put 9 past us today but i think we all knew in our heart of hearts that it was not going to go our way... a few positives though -

1)jacko back

2)Masters saluting the fans before and after the second half

3)the return of Deaner!

4)the unstoppable attitude of the fans...

I'd also like to say thank you to the AFCW player who kindly clapped the STFC fans at the end - thought that was very sweet. Thanks also go to the Dons fans who made the effort to speak to us and offered a smile.

Just feel utterly gutted for Wilko - who no doubt will have taken this defeat extremelt harshly - and the rest of the boys. Although we were larking about and making the best of it, it would've been considerably harder for those brave souls on the pitch.

despite the result a fantastic afternoon to be a slough fan, we sung for 90+ minutes a great atmosphere, and no team will ever get an ovation at the final whistle like that after losing 9-0.

we were obviously outplayed for the whole match, we were always going to get battered (was hoping we wouldnt hit the 100 goals conceded mark until at least next saturday), but the players just kept trying we cant really ask for more. though i think we will end up with a goal difference of over -100 this season at this rate.

well done to all the fans who travelled in numbers today, we gained the respect of the opposition and its fans with our constant support.

up the rebels.

Just reiterated what i wrote on here on their forum and have had some nice responses from a few that i thought you'd like to read

"Charlie, The vocal support for your team was fantastic today, well done for your loyal support." - Tadworth Mick

"just back from the game.......and i just wanna say what an enjoyable day it was! the scoreline was fantastic and the performance brilliant (although slough were very poor). i thought our fans were fantastic, slough's fans were brilliant, even when losing 9-0. and their goalkeeper seemed like a nice enough chap, havin a laugh with the tempest end in second half! hope slough can sort out their problems as their fans deserve a lot better!" - Narwarni Womble

"Charlie-you and the other Slough fans are a credit to football. Hope things improve for you!" DonWorn

I am a very proud man tonight and humbled by the unbeliveable way our supporters are and this season has taught us some very important lessons...football can be so harsh and there are very few winners out there, but for me the best season for our un relenting support for our team and cause..

slough supporters your the best !

Despit the result a truly brilliant day. Brilliant atmosphere. And it was nice to see there fans clap us.

From one of there fans outside the ground. The rebels fans are brilliant, they will be missed big time from this league. He also said that even though they get 3000 fans, slough are the best. Fair play to some of their supporters.

Next party, last game of the season might aswell finish the season off in style.

Great atmosphere today proud to be a Slough fan. Charlie has got it spot on the Afc player who came over to clap us at the end was a good sportsman its not often you see an opposing player salute the opposite set of suppoerts. Also Jacko saluted us at the halfway mark just shows they appreciate our support. The AFC fans had nothing but praise for us in the clubhouse after the game. Lets keep our heads up and stay behing the team.

Come on you Rebels.
