Tonbridge Angels expect to be re-instated into the Kent Senior Cup after rivals Ramsgate fielded an illegible player in their quarter-final win, writes Stephen McCartney.

Akwasi Edusei played in and scored twice for Welling United during their first round 3-0 win over Dartford at Park View Road on 7th November and scored the only goal of the game against the Angels at the Betterview Longmead Stadium nine days ago.

“I have asked the Kent FA to investigate this matter on our behalf,” said Angels secretary Mr Charlie Cole.

That's a bit harsh - fancy throwing a team out because they couldn't read a player's name.

im afraid to say Tom that would be pointless,i have asked Mr LADYMAN to solve a problem i had 3 times and 3 times i didnt get any reply or help from the government what so ever,he wont be getting my vote, and we will take the punishment on the chin,if we have made an administration error in any way, we will except the decision made by the league because we abide by the RULES.I as a Ramsgate supporter would feel embarrassed if we were able to continue in the cup if we were found guilty of braking any RULES

Nice to see you Ramsgate boys have a sense of humour it was intended as a little tongue in cheek. As an overseas observor I have to say that I think you have achieved wonders this season, and of course as a Margate fan it is hard to admit but I would think that your club could finish the season more satified than we will be.
