Are Edgware getting the jitters?

Well we nearly threw that away last night, a 1-1 draw against lowly Bigg Town, only Harefield have taken points off us both home and away, now Bigg town have.

 

We were to be honest awful last night, we started brightly enough, and should have been a couple of goals up with a bit more luck. Goaless at HT, I thought we would come out all guns blazing in the second half, but to be honest Bigg Town played some useful stuff, compared to their firt half stifling tactics and the game looked like being goaless.

 

A defenisive error with 4 mins left and they took their goal very well, this stirred us into life and captain Rory Smith scored his first ever goal for us with a header a min later.

 

All in all, I would have to say a fair enough result as we failed to take our chances and really trouble them.

 

If Harefiled win their 3 games in hand the lead closes to just 4pts. Its strange as we are 11pts clear with 7 games left but we are starting to get the jitters and unless Harefield drop some points we cant feel comfortable.

 

I really hope that we dont win the league by just a couple of points otherwise Harefield will see but for the result that they had over us and was made void they would have been champions

LOL, well, one home win from four is not good, when we had won 12 on the trot. I think the closer we get to the finnish line the more jitters set in.

 

That said we had our two strikers back from injury last night and Greg AKA 'The Beast' is due back soon, so I still think we have more then enough to see out the season.

 

A lot of matches have been played, and maybe just maybe reaching two finals is taking its toll as well.

 

No excuses though we were poor last night, so much so that when I called up Langord to get their result with Harefield the lady who answerd (prob behind the bar) was very suppised that we faield to win and said well the result here is not the one you want LOL

The same happened to Brook House last season, it is up to the players of Edgware now and a huge game for Hertford on Saturday and Thursday, I think the results this Saturday will determine the champions to be.

They will prob try and get a playoff arranged if that is the case. I dont think we will win it by just one point, we still hold a 4pt lead on them IF they win their games in hand. This next week is Harefields biggest of the season, by Saturday week they would have played the same ammount of games as ourselves, so lets see where they are then.
