Mind games will have to be played on another day -the heavens opened about 7pm - rain & hail. Ref made the decision at 7.45 to postpone the game.

Um.....not sure if that is a good thing or not, seeing that I would have liked to have Harefield play twice in the space of 3 days this week, and with thier two games next week would have brought them level on games with us.

So how many people were in the ground and do they get thier money back? Did you see our chairman and secretary, I heard they were going to go.

We didn't do a head count, but yes, they got their money back, although the refs still needed their expenses plus half fees. Thanks to Paul for helping me carry the kit in from my car! They arrived at the ground just before I did.

As it happens the game was rained off but why would they throw the game? If Hertford take the points they will stay second in the league. They will have the ground grading and knowing the vagaries of the FA their could always be two up from our league. Apart from that that I don't think it is in their nature.

Nor do I, but its just something that some people were saying could happen. I agree, knowing the FA, and with certain teams failing ground grading from other step 5 leagues, 2nd place could still well win promotion from the SSML.
