Bookham 2-1 Camberley T

 

Enjoyable game with Bookham taking the lead on 5 mins and going 2 up on 44mins, Bookham had the better of the 1st half but Camberley came back into the game scoring on 50mins and having the better of the second half. A draw would have been a fair result( glad it wasn't). Bookham battle well last night after some poor performances showing some B0ll0cks for the 1st time in a few games.

 

Had a good chat with PB, good to meet him finally.

 

Had to throw away some pastie's as we had over purchased believing Kroon Dog was going to turn up (cost the club thousands)

 

Fecking Lino's, The Thick kent went to Cobham's ground not Dorking, so get a call from Cobham who sent him on his way, turns up at the ground at 7.30...... he's only left his kit at Cobham...... where do they get'em ??? (fortunately the ref had a spare kit)

Thanks Willo, that was the case last couple of games but the attitude and commitment was very good from us last night, especially in the secomd half when Cambo pressured for long periods, defensive thwarted everything.

Sorry Teffs, but BG equalised against Cobham in injury time! They had only managed 1 shot on target in the previous 90 min. Fecking ref was useless to say the least.

The equaliser came from a freekick. Ref blows his whistle for it to be taken and I came and claimed the ball. He then decides it has to be re-taken so BG can make a substitution and this time they go and score!

He even went to give me a second yellow as I was shouting at him, to let him know a player was down injured on the far side of the pitch. Idiot!! He didn't even go and see if the injured player was ok, as he was more intent of giving me a lecture!

Having said all this, we only have ourselves to blame for not wrapping the game up earlier.

Jurg, that was the same bloke that "reffed" our game on saturday and sent 1 of our players off and then myself from the dugout.

 

On a positive note our ref from last night, John Ryan, was fairly decent along with his assts Rod Chatfield and Richard Hailstone. Fair play to them

Our ref last night Andy Mawby, also had a good game, liked the way he talked to the players wasn't card happy, let the game flow (most of the time) and tried to play advantage and wasn't scared to pull it back if needed.

 

Had John Ryan recently too and think he's also a good ref, there are some about just not enough !!!

I'd agree that there a few good ones, but far more bad ones. Even the lino who was dealing with the substitution seemed confused, as the ref signalled for him to wait, then changed his mind once the freekick was taken! Explain that one Krooner.

 

The one last night was more touchy than a woman with PMT! They take everything you say to heart instead of realising it's a comment said in the heat of the moment. It's different if it's a personnal comment, but if you just disagree with him, then get over it.

Disappointing show last night, made a number of changes and played ok, without looking dangerous. 2 sloppy goals given away and then 2nd half for all the possession we had, didnt create a huge amount.

 

Onto Saturday hopefully ruin Chipsteads 100% home record.

 

Good to meet you Teffs, fecker was waiting there as soon as I walk off pitch after game, KENT!!!!!!!
