Given that we have won 1 out of the last 9 most of which looked winnable it doesn't look like it is going to happen.
Te important thing now has to be to get the players who have performed well this season to sign up for next season.

For me, the only player I would reconsider is Quinny.
Although it can be argued that he does a solid holding job in the middle defensively,(I have argued his case as well), I just think he doesn't bring enough passion, committment, mobility, or tough tackling for the "senior" and most experienced midfielder.

We do have the basis of a promotion gaining squad, but we need to solidify the defence, stop conceding sloppy goals from free kicks/corners, up the pace, tenacity and creativity of the midfield and been much more clinical in front of goal.
Too often we have relied on Charlie for our goals. Take his goals out of the team then we would be relegation fodder.
More players, particularly the midfielders have to contribute to the goal tally, instead of leaving it simply to the strikers.
Look at the leading scorers at the club, the contribution from the likes of Long, Quinn, Slatter, Keeling, Coleman is truly miserable.

What would Tonbridge want for Jon Main, if he doesnt get taken on by Norwich? 37 goals this season is quite some total & he would potentially be a player worth having - I suspect, however, that even if Norwich dont go for him, that the asking price is likely to be beyond our means (that said, if he pushed us through to League 2, he would probably more than cover the cost).

I have seen Tonbridge a few times this year last two times he's scored a hat-trick (he has about six or seven this season).

He takes his goals well (obviously) and is quick but he is quite light-weight and doesnt have a great physical presence and doesn't put himself about around the pitch like Charlie (who cares when you score that many goals I hear you say). I would be surpised if a Championship side took him without proven ability at a higher level but you never know they might just take a punt. I think the Conference would be his next logical step if he wants to play full time. I did hear a figure of £135,000 but it was probably only speculation dont know his contractual status come the end of the season.

I personally think Quinn is the new Ben Surey. If he even looks like shooting, it's best to duck as soon as possible. That said, he also reminds me of Bobby Bowry, who was a fairly quiet player, but underrated by much of our fan-base as he was a quality holding midfielder. Quinn, however, lacks this quality. He is as quiet as Bowry without getting the job done. And he looks like Frank Quedrue.
