Only 409 at Deadwood last night. Thought they might have outnumbered us last night. 469 at Hartsdown.

Ramsgate have got to be disappointed with that turn out.How many of those were from Chelmsford or did they boycott the place also.(Just asking,just asking).

I still feel the people of Ramsgate should be ashamed of themselves for not getting themselves of their [****!!****] to watch both their own club in action(Who are being quite successful)& to see the possible Champions of this league(still think Hampton will do it though).

Talking to a Rams fan, he said he felt Chelmsford brought about 100 (very impressive for a Tuesday night). So a poor poor turn out for Ramsgate to have only 300 home fans against a team top of the table, especially after their recent upturn.

Well if you would like to point out your reliable source, be my guest. But whoever this 'source' was, was obviously blind and/or dumb (but can't say I saw any Rams fans there last night?), as Horsham had very few fans.

I, on the other hand, do have a reliable source: Ramsgate Hammer. So be my guest to go and ask him, as I cannot see why he would make up such a thing.

Cookie the thing is that 5 years ago the gap between the gates of the two clubs was massive. Now look at it. Its all very well saying the people of Ramsgate should be ashamed of themselves but Ramsgate have always been thanet's 2nd club.
But the way both clubs are going these days,that may change.

But many people in Ramsgate want Margate to do well. People in Ramsgate and Broadstairs etc have always supported Margate.

I was surprised by the amount of fans Horsham brought down, i could only count about 5 behind the goal and there was probably a few more situated round the ground. I thought that they would have brought down at least a coach full not a handful

I'd hazzard a guess at about 20-30 tops Alex. Most standing round the sides by the stand,both ends.

Margate have budgeted for about 1000 per game. I do not know about Ramsgate but I would guess they have budgeted for a 400/450 average tops. We are achieving our target if that is the case and you are a long way behind Piper's pie in the sky prediction

Funny how you seem to know about our budget Rob yet you don't know your own clubs budget.You are right in one sense though that 1000 should have been attainable even taking into account the bad form on the pitch. So in some way we to are being let down too by the public.But is it all their fault?

1000 isnt a "pie in the sky" expectation its just that the club haven't put the work in i.m.o to entice those to come along. Sorry members of the club but thats how I see things.1000 could & should have been attainable.

If we get a commercial manager in for next season(part-time will do)& with decent results & with whatever league we end up in 1000 should be reached & should be gettable.A little more promoting of the club by the club would make a hell of a difference.

Alex do you wonder why specific people do not get involved in threads when the budget comes up, because they know the truth and do not want to embarrass their own club.

 

They may well know more about their own club than I do. A)I am young and still learning. Ramsgate keep themselves to themselves and are professional about their dealings. Unlike Margate were the truth always gets out.

Good to see you don't take non-serious personal attacks personally. You obviously don't know much about Malcolm Rowlett who is a very professional chairman. I extremely doubt we budgeted for 1000 as that is far too high, like HDF said i do believe we budgeted for 700/800 fans.
