well done afc hornchurch. howler from wakering keeper for winner and felt very sorry for him.

Smallsy, this was a great game to watch! AFCH dominated the first half and could/should have had more than a one goal advantage at half time. GWR came out of the blocks very well at the start of the second half and put the Urchins under pressure resulting in a deserved equaliser. The Urchins then weathered the storm from GWR to impose themselves to get the winner in the last quarter!

GREAT GAME! You really should get out more!

Good one Urchins. Was there any commentary on the radio rather than over the internet? My source told me she couldn't find it.

Who played in goal? Was it Pro Performance's No 1 aka Louis Green?

Yellow, the BBC Essex website made no mention of the match being broadcast "on the air". I suspect it was broadcast via Internet streaming only. The quality was pretty good and download links have been posted on here.

i was expecting some better football to be played. even colin mcbride said in his interview you didnt play well but the result counts. wasnt a dig just saying as a neutral it wasnt a great game of football.

invariably these type of finals are never classic footballing encounters but from my perspective I thought it was a great occasion and a great atmosphere....it always helps when you win of course and scarpering with the wedge is always likely to leave a rose tinted hue across ones memories but for me...a great Urchin night that will be remembered by our fans long after the analysis of the game itself has faded....

and that huge cup looks great behind the bar... yay grin
