Let's give him a chance - I see from Carshalton stats that he played 12 games and scored 1 goal. Not bad considering he was with them barely three months!!!

Seems to me that he will play up alongside Danny with Pinns playing on the right and Jay reverting to what is (in my opinion) his best position: central midfield (in place of Standen). Welcome to the club Rob!

ROB HAWORTH

Position: Striker

Date of Birth: 21.11.75

Nomadic 6’ 3” tall striker who started his career at Fulham where he made 29 first team appearances during the 1993/94 and 1994/95 seasons. Rob then had a short spell with Millwall before dropping into non-league football to join Kettering during 1995/96. From there he moved on to Aylesbury before settling at St Albans where he scored 50 goals in four seasons between 1996/97 and 1999/00. Rob then played for Dagenham & Redbridge where he featured in their FA Cup ties with Charlton during 2000/01 and after that his travels took him to Sutton, Hendon, Gravesend & Northfleet, Maidenhead and Met Police. Rob joined Carshalton in January 2007 and then linked up with Margate in March 2007.

Jimmy seemed to feel he would be available tomorrow night from what I heard in his recent interview.I didn't feel Dean was that good on Saturday Danny.Gave away too many passes to the opposition. Mind you so did others.

We 'lost' the midfield on Sat. DS is a willing lad, but he panics too much. Also can't head the ball. Would much prefer to see Jay in there, but can he work with Proths?
