15 months and 7 days after doing my knee....

Recommended Posts

I have finally played in a competitive game of footie! Albeit only 25 minutes for my mates team in a league which is probably about as low as you can go on the level scale.

I managed a full training session last Thursday at St Mags which made me feel a lot more confident about the knee and when I found my mates team were short I said I'd go along as an emergency sub. Regretted it to start with as I got the job of running the line and it was freezing!! Still running the line was probably as good a warm up as could be expected in Div 2 of the Herts and District league. (Trying to avoid the dog sh*t!)

After saying that if I did have to come on then either up front or out wide out of the way just to make up the numbers would be the way to go...... nope, 3-1 down I get put on centre mid to change the game cry Well in a team where I was second youngest and probably third fittest I slotted in quite reasonably but alas couldn't change the game.

My local club as well! Well would be my local club if they had a ground.... so in fact my local club is actually my least local club as every game would be away!!!!!

Well due to weddings and a baby's head wetting I'm not actually available until the 14th April now anyway which is probably a good thing to stop me doing too much too early!

Few good training and gym sessions in between. Also need to find my own shorts before playing for them again, I blame all the gym work on my legs being too big for the shorts... others blamed the beer and curry and my fat [****!!****]!
