The Alternative Player Points

Always wondered why players are given points, and still have no idea - Bit like being at work and someone says "Oooo you get 3 points today" confused

Anyway, for a bit of a fun alternative - Here is the fans points.

Gazza - Constant thorn in the side for the Ashford bench when they were trying to get the voice stakes up - Never looked like conceeding defeat.

Ryan - Usual reliable performance, nothing fancy just kept the swearing simple but at times could have been booked by the lino for some back chat

Paul S - The master class who shows everyone he knows the 2 word pass - "Come On" Another extremely encouraging performance by this promising supporter.

Rob M - Well what can you say, reflexes slowing a little, but still brings experience with that cackle….hehehehe - Hobbled off at the end after being clattered by the barrier.

Umbrella Man - Top performance down the wings. Blistering pace to get to the halftime bar interlude. On that sort of form no-one can touch him.

Blockhead - Muted beginning prior to coach journey, but soon settled into the swing of things, and was always backing me/anyone up with whatever drivel I/they was drivelling with.

Tony Tash - By his standards everyone has to raise their game. Here is a supporter who never knows when to get off the coach due to sleepiness - A real relaxed and calm pro.

J.L. - The communicater - Never shy to speak his mind, always looking for a route to express himself to the lino/ref - their players - their bench. Always trying to win a penalty/free kick.

Simon - Went missing for large parts of the game - Was with the team when we arrived but decided to play whatever position in the ground suited him. However, cannot fault his communication - Nearly booked by the ref.

Caroline/Kate/Karen - Interesting performance from these 3 - They were looking decidedly nervous toward the end, just trying to keep their positions. But a battling performance and the only members of the team who never find themselves in trouble with the officials.

I have to say it was another blinding performance.

Here's how I saw the ressie's

Chairman, was a little nervous I thought, and this showed by a distinct lack of pre match lubrication, but settled down as the game went on and was fully up to speed at the final whistle.

Ian, gave the lino a torrid time down the wing, and ensured the ref kept everyone lively. Game in, game out one of our most consistent performers.

Jim G, Was the life and soul of the coach journey to Ashford, with a whitee repartee and a host of funny outfits.

After admiring his photo on the clubhouse wall, he went out an gave a solid performance, The true professional.

Derek, was on his game yesterday, giving great support to Ian on the wing, always ready for the overlap and gave good cover to Jim G when he needed a bit of protection from one of his more risque remarks.

Ronnie S, Our most consistent performer, always encouraging the other lads, unflappable is our ron, even in the face of grave danger ron ALWAYS remains positive. Another outstanding performance. I did notice he took a bit of criticisim though, it was remarked upon that perhaps he might have been better off sitting on the other side of the boardroom.

Hazel, doesnt figure in every game but when she does, she certainly makes he presence known. If anyone douts the (Decibel)level of vocalisation she bring to the team, just check out the AFC video, and don't forget to turn down the volume.

Jim H. Warmed the bench during the first half, but what a second half performance, the radio guy was no match for our Jim, a real MOTM performance, well done Jim.

Sharon, if anyone dare assault, kick, foul, tackle, abuse or dare look at one of her boys in an unacceptable manor, you just know there could be a disturbance on the terraces. YEsterday being a trouble free day but I think we could be in for an altogeter livelier night at Heybridge.

Graham, not a regular away traveler, he still struggles with the language, and quite often rambles on with no one understanding what he's on about, something to do with a funny shaped ball. But yesterday he was solid, showing great support and not mentioning the R word once. He shows potential but he's has to get over this fettish he has for all things oval.

Next stop Heybridge, this is going to be a tough one and we will all have to be at our best for this game.

I object to that.. the manager himself gave me license to take a roving role "feel free to use what talents you have, wherever you like" were his exact words grin
