Escape from Colditz

Anyone have an idea who is responsible for locking the gates at the park in the evening. After yesterdays game a number of us decided to watch the first half of the England game in the bar. Upon leaving at 7.15 every entrance out of the ground/park was locked. Many of us had to risk life and limb climbing over fencing. I know that it's unusual for the bar to be open at that time but it's a bit obvious that people are still in there when the lights are on. Brings a whole new dimension to getting a lock in at the bar.

I was also one of those locked in. Fortunately I am very athletic and had no problems climbing over the fencing.

 

I noticed that the Conference's Chief Exec was at the previous home game. I have an image of Gibbo giving him a leg up over the fence after a few post-match drinks.

Athletic eh? I heard a young man gave you a leg up in the darkness of the park.

The gate next to the footbridge and the main entrace on Clarence Road are usually left open all night. Which exits were locked?

Yep, all he gates were locked shut, even the one that leads to the York Road bridge. Had to give my 69 year old father-in-law a leg up over the fence!

Maybe it was something to do with the 'spot of bother' down the other end.

The York Road gate was locked the other week too.

I've just asked a contact at the council about the gates being locked.
