Rdg Twn vs Banstead

Just a quick note of thanks to the member of the Banstead coaching staff who assisted one of our lads as he was stretchered off with a nasty ankle injury in today's game. Much appreciated.

3-1 to Town, we played very well however the match was spoilt by a very fussy umpire who sent off a athletic player after half an hour and it looked like he could have sent off more in a very clean game.

Thanks for the welcome WW. El Gaff I believe he will have xrays when the swelling is down. May hopefully only be ankle ligament damage.

Yeah we have played quite well for the last 2 months and got some good results. We lost out at Wembers and Cambo however the gaffer felt it was time to bring in some of the youth team in a view for next season.

I know the ref was local but he has been unkind to us on a few occasions. Sent off the gaffer and one of ours boys when he has done us.

Teflon

Coaching staff . I was with a local league club but the set up and standard of the CCL was attractive. Im very impressed with many of the sides I have seen.

We not only have the drummer but we know have a lad who dresses up as the Pink Panther with a RT kit on.I imagine they are annoying for the oppositions players/supporters but we are just happy to have them come along and support the team.

It seems they can not get into Reading's game at the Madjeski so they come and watch us. They are a bit of a quiet lot down at The Mad Stad.

We happily welcomed the drummers and buglers from Portsmouth FC at Stewart Vaughan's benefit match at Meadowbank.

Their 'Mascot' is something to be seen. He was wonderful, allowing our supporters kids to be photographed with him. A great entertainer in our bar after the match !
