Anyone see tonights echo where STIMSON comments that the ex canvey players will add something to the interest, and that we (Canvey) should win the league.My question, diplomacy or mind games? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Lot of respect for Mr Stimson (as a player) but I think he showed his true colours at the end of last season. He caused untold damage at the club and from the Grays game at home, to the Braintree game away, it was clear that Canvey had problems. We didn't know at the time that most of them were down to him.

 

Don't trust the guy. Tomorrow expect to see our players, especially Jeff Minton, kicked and hacked off the park.

 

Sorry I can't be there. Give the ex-Canvey turncoats a special ahhhhhhhhh-oooooooo-ahhhhhhhhh from me.

Mind games definately!!!

 

We all know 'Keepers have their best games against us, but this time it's not Capleton I'm worried about - it's Vaughan & Essendoh, (although I think he's injured at the moment). They will be out to prove a point tomorrow particularly Waste-Of-Space Vaughan. It's no secret I didn't like him. I expect our midfield especially Minton to be kicked off the park. Maybe if Parms plays he and Proths, (if he's fit) will be able to give as good as they get!!

 

But if Benno can keep Miller in his pocket like the home game, then I don't think he'll be much of a threat. I hope JK is wearing a suit of armour too!!

 

22 men on the field after 90 minutes tomorrow? - No chance!!

We will try to get Vaughan on the offside trap..

I doubt that Miller will be as subdued as the last game, he is very likely to take a walk.

Buzz will want to do well and will run his socks of against us, will no doubt have a yellow may well also have to take a walk.

Stimmo will try to clutter everyone and try every showboating trick going, hope they back fire on him!!

It's Essandoh that I'm worried about. Remember that wonder goal for Stortford against us early this season. If he and Vaughan are in the mood, they could do alot of damage, if not then they're about as good as a chocolate teapot.

 

Will be a tough game tomorrow but if we are on top of our game we'll win.

Nearly scary predictions. What with smithy getting the yellow for being embarrased by lee, and just missing out on the hot water when lee showed him why smith is not missed, again!

Apart from Buzz putting in some well timed tackles in the firs-half I thought every ex-Canvey player that played yesterday had obviously lost something going to the Complete Wreck.

 

Mark Stimson was well contained by Jeff Minton & Benno when he came on.

Adam Miller was in Dobbo's pocket all day another great performance by him.

Waste of Space Vaughan was nothing, run around a bit in the first half but Leaburn done better than him today!

Peter Smith was out done by Boylan & JK everytime down the right and the only way he could even have a chance of tackling them was with his elbows.

Sammy Cooper came on late but didn't add nothing to the out of date mix.

 

I reckon they're all past their prime now and Vaughan will never get any better than he is! Wasn't it Stimmo that brought him to us in the first place? Useless after Port Vale.
