passion - or lack of

Its not just the passion from the players though.

I can only speak for myself, but over the last five seasons, if we lost on a saturday, it would really spoil the weekend and most of the folowing week.

Even in some of our darkest days, even when you expected to lose, i still felt like that throughout the week;until another defeat the following saturday, but the passion remained

Today though, as we still press for promotion,i find myself just shrugging my shoulders and thinking,oh well-another defeat- lets enjoy the weekend.

I'm not that upset and that worries me.

Why has the passion gone away-its worrying.

I'd get excited at travelling down to Kent in previous seasons, even knowing that we were most likely going to lose.

Now i can't get so excited about things.

Somehow, the passion and excitement has been taken away in the last three months ,and i can't properly explain why.

I guess its the old adage that the higher you go, the bigger the fall.

Proths has been ill for the last two days so his performance was hindered to be honest. If I remember we were all raving about him when he had the captains armband on !!! Anyway should off been a draw today (Danny goal NEVER offside). Deano had another great game in mid-park. Ref was a joke to be honest and Swifts should have never finished with 11 on the field. I think the chances we had today 6-7 weeks ago they would of flown in, but now situations change and the playoffs are calling - but look on the bright side two more extra games to watch !!!

I agree with SSS first sentence and we have to face reality here guys. The only way we are going to make the play-offs at this rate is if AFC Wimbledon get all of their 18 points deducted, however i am still a firm believer that if we make the play-offs will win it because we have done well against the bigger sides this season.

Good point by djw about Proths doing well when captain.

I particularly remeber how last season Proths really led us to victory in those final games.

Not there yesterday , but assume DH was captain, which as most of us continually observe, seems to both detract from his personal game ,and as a striker he is always going to be somewhat isolated from majority of players.

Maybe when RT made the decision to strip LP of the captaincy, and in SM abscence appoint DH, it has worked against the games of both LP and DH.

Having said that,we should be winning these games regardless of who is captain
