Off Topic 1: Munich

Hi folks,

 

With league footie taking a back seat to accommodate the Euro Championships (at least here up north anyway), I wanted to send the first of two quick off-topic messages.

 

I recently got back from a week in Munich where I went to the lesser known Munich derby between 1860 Munich and Augsburg. The stadium was superb and was lit up in the blue colours of 1860 as it was a night match. (PM me if anyone wants picks of the stadium). Incredibly it was a 69,000 sell out for a division 2 game!!! Absolutely phenomenal, particularly as it was also live on tv. We were lucky as we got tickets from touts outside the ground.

 

On way home however I was reading over the Easyjet magazine and incredibly on the back page was a full page advert from a company called Ashwell who were advertising their new 300 million residential and business project in the centre of………Chelmsford!!! I mean, what are the odds??? Sadly there was no mention of Billericay – maybe they made the Lufthansa edition!

Yeah, lol. Walter Smith restored the passion that was sadly lacking - if only he coudl have stayed on a bit longer. Top at the moment but if they make the top 3 I'd be shocked - sadly way too much football to be played.

 

Strange though, with the way things are going in your group I'd have thought that some of you guys would have emigrated to another country by now - I hear Israel's nice! ;-)
