A real shambles of a performance today, could really have lost about 8 - 0, but for some bad finishing and a couple of good saves from Ricky.

We would not have scored if we had stayed out there all night.

I do not know what has gone wrong with the team but it is obvious something has, there is no belief or urgency about anything and could cost us a place in the play-offs if not addressed immediately.

Team were appalling today. No ideas and no real urgency as mentioned above.

Can't see us making the play offs now but judging by the fact that the likes of Sudbury and Ware lost anything is possible.

Very disappointing to hear this. The next game I will be able to make is Good Friday and the sound of current performances does not bode well for the Easter weekend where points are vitally needed to keep up the playoff challenge.

Unfortunately the display against Wakering may put a few of the fair weather fans off of the Good Friday game, unless we pick up against Wivenhoe and more importantly Maldon. It may become the case that we have to rely on the likes of Sudbury and Ware to drop points in their games in hand.

Coming to the end of the season it may now be just a case of the boys trying their hardest and I feel fitness levels, confidence and stamina could well be taking it's toll as we head into the final month of games. Batchy and the players must concentrate on getting as many points on the table as possible from our remaining games whatever it takes or I feel it may have reprocussions on our attendances next season.

First half reminded me of the Enfield Town game on Tuesday night.

We had as much possesion as Bury Town but neither side created anything of real substance. The defence was firm and Bury didn't look like anything special. Then at half time they grab an all important goal from their first real chance.

Second half we tried to press forward opened up some space and Bury started to break and started to create chances. The second goal goes in and Bury are on the up. We start to make changes with Dobbo and Crowe going off but by this time Bury are defending well and breaking at pace - creating numerous half chances that could have seen them finish with a higher goal tally. Chris Bourne comes on but the game stays in the same vein with Bury grabbing a third before the end.

Only in the second half did we have a shot go just wide of the post - but covered by the keeper anyway. A solitary shot on target just before the end which might have stung the keepers hands but did nothing else as we looked for a consolation goal - other than that we created virtually nothing.

As said we could have played all night and not scored. There seemed to be a lack of service of any kind from midfiled and our forwards just couldn't create any space. There was little or no service from the wide players and midfield were getting bogged down or playing the ball through with to much pace which was being collected easily by the keeper.

Again, there was a change in the squad from last Tuesday nights game with Roberts, Jay and Dobbo starting with Bourne and Gordon on the bench and West not picked. I assume that some of the substitutions today were not all tactical and perhaps we are struggling with injuries picked up earlier and during the game at Bury Saturday - other than that I couldn't work out what was going on. If it was tactical then in the past Batchy has gained some excellent points from some key changes but today it went tits up.

The next two away games will have a big bearing on our season.

Doesn't help it's Easter as well. People are more inclined to go away for the weekend rather than watch a team who really hasn't performed in the last couple of weeks.

Still two games to put things right though. Get the feeling our luck has run out to some extent.

Doubt it would make much difference. It happened with Lewes in Conference South last season and the second placed team got a bye straight to the final.

We start to make changes with Dobbo and Crowe going off

John though he was told Crow was struggling with an injury and took him off when in fact he was told Dobbo was struggling, he then had to sub Dobbo and we ended up with both off.

I don't think I can remember having to wait until the 90+ minute before witnessing a shot on target. I don't think I can even remember us creating so little and being so utterly useless. Both Bourney and Ruggy would have been better off staying on the bench and having nothing to do with that fiasco... I can't believe our players didn't even try.

Although, I thought Ricky did okay for someone with no defence, Johnny Stuart did alright, as ever and Lucky was trying. Everybody else just wasted their time and ours as fans. I was looking forward to watching the new bloke, but I can't say first impressions were all that. Hopefully that's all they were and things can get moving and we can start playing properly.

Hopefully.
