...Just spoke to Mrs Coup who is driving to Cambridge and she says that the M25 is blocked both ways between the M11 and Lakeside turn offs....She had to drive up the A12 to the M11 at Redbridge so probably the best way for those going to Sawbo today or coming from Stansted...

The more you go towards London, the worse it will be. I suggest to Bowers people that they go from Sadlers Farm on A130 to Great Dunmow and then on A120 to Stansted. and for the Stansted people vice versa

what about out the back of brentwood, through harlow?

You could hook up with the A414 at Ongar but it's just one lane of traffic! You will have to get onto the roundabout above the M11 at Harlow which could be chocka. Personally I would give the M11 a wide berth and come to it at Stansted or even Saffron Walden!

A127 to the Halfway House, right onto the A128 and all the way through to High Ongar, then left onto the A414 and just keep going. Turn left at West Road in Sawbo High Street, opposite Station Road and then first right into Crofters. Ground at far end. Nice pub on the left just before West Road called 'The Gate'. It is run by an ex-Romford player from the 60s called Tom Barnett.

If you go this way, remember to take the turn to Harlow rather than Epping at the Talbot PH in North Weald.

If I was going to Sawbo, I would stay as far away from the M25/M11 only going over the top at Stansted and trying to get up the A1184 from Bishops Stortford.

Sure was. Tom moved to Hertford via Bexley I think. His movements after that are sketchy, but he was Chairman of Sawbo back in 92 and his son was playing for them too. Now just runs his pub with his delightful missus.....

I hear that Concord Reserves went this way to Stansted and were stuck on that roundabout for ages and they never got to the match!!! Do they forfeit?
