Working Party - Sunday 25th March

Recommended Posts

Can you let me know if you are able to get down to the ground on Sunday afternoon to help with a bit of painting that is necessary for the health and safety aspect of the ground grading requirements. If we can get five or six people down it will take no more than an hour or so.

Thanks

Geggy

How is painting necessary for health & safety, or is edges of steps ,etc. Genuine question, not a dig

This is not a dig but a genuine observation whilst we are talking about H&S, that when the lights went out on Monday there was no emergency lighting anywhere near the tea hut or turnstile area or in the main stand which caused both areas to be pitch black, however there was emergency lighting at the far phone tower, and outside the bar.

Also when were the electrics last tested (PAT and infrustructure) to be able to comply with the electricity at work regs. If the fuse blew because it was "old" as mentioned by Windsor sec then some preventative maintenance might be a good idea to reduce the risk of other failures.

If you want these works carried out I can give you numbers of suitable electrical contractors competant to carry out the work.

This is not a dig but a comment to ensure the safety of all who use stag meadow.

Funny that !

We were talking at the Meadowbank ground yesterday afternoon about the need to mark step edges.

Someone pointed out that H & S are very finnicky about the exact colour.

Apparently, it has to be almost fluorescent yellow !
