Guildford City 1-1 North Greenford Utd

 

 

NGU Battered them for best part of 90 mins and could only score 1, poor tackling gave Guildford equaliser in second half with one of their few attacks. NGU hit woodwork twice and cleared off goal line in one attack and missed about 6 chances in 6 mins at one stage.

 

Not good omens for us if Guildford can cling on to games like this and pick up points.

No offence Tefs but your only chance of staying in the CCL premier is if you go and steal some of Horleys seats before their ground inspection. Your other hope is if Staines are in the promotion places and the Pikeys move onto the pitch.

Bedfont are currenlty below us and its possible that Farnham, Staines Lammas and Worcester Park could also being in the top three ( I dont think any of these can go up)that would stop Warlingham who have a groung share at Croydon or Carshalton (cant remember which)

 

We do believe we can stay up (otherwise we may as well give in), the target all year has been 3rd from bottom and I always thought that was possible, it's only in the last 4 games or so where the players have not been perfoming well enough that we have taken a few hammerings. This has made us look like prime candidates for relegation.

 

Still 9 games to go and someone once said "football a funny old game" so we still got a chance !!!

Warlingham are at Crotdon Athletic. I don't agree with groundshares to get promoted unless you provide a plan of when you will move into your own ground. Sorry Teffs just an opinion.

It's not the best way Kroons and it is how Bookham did it and Yes we do have plans for our long term furture and this was advised to the CCL, things have taken much longer that expected for us so we will have too see.

 

Warlingham where clever (on way of putting it) the fact they have not played at Croydon A this season, we played at Dorking the season we gained promotion.

I thought Reading were finally planning on moving to the Hellenic Premier (it makes sense for them geographically), or have I just imagined this?

 

If they did, what would this mean for teams who could possibly be relegated/promoted.

Could depend on clubs wanting to move the other way Jurg. Bisley and Badshot Lea want to move across. Bisley have some serious money and look as though they will win Div 1 East. They are having planning problems at the moment though but with a fair wind could have the ground for prmeir football. Badshot Lea just have no chance where they are at the moment but I am sure they have something in mind.

I'm sure i read somewhere that the Hellenic league had requested Reading Town to move across but the CCL rejected it as they wanted to keep them, this was last month or something. Shame that, we've got to make the long journey there this Sat!

Well they certainly have the money to get the facilities. The last time I was there (before xmas), they still dindn't have floodlights on the pitch, but did have 2 full size training pitches that were floodlight outside the clubhouse!

Much better than the WWII prison camp, that is Reading FC!
