bowers potential champions?

Recommended Posts

i know its not the done thing at bowers to even admit that theres a possibility of them winning the title but its 6 wins in a row now,12 points behind brentwood who we still have to play and 2 matches in hand. Of course if we lose at sawbo on saturday were pretty much out of it but if we win then brentwood just might start getting a bit nervous.

talking about getting nervous how shaky are the urchins getting now, seem to be drawing week in week out,i see that their crowd was down to 200 during the week because it was a 'bit cold',bugger me you wouldnt want to be stuck in the trenches with Hornchurch fans.

Although this grates, the fact they are 11 points clear means the odd draw or three will be of no consequence, and their average gate may have halved for one match, but we non-league fans are very fickle, especially on a cold night...

but they can finish second though.. grinthe cheats might keep winning the games in hand and who knows?to me they have a better chance than the rest of the teams to catch brentwood, especially with that quality gnome in goal and frankestein upfront alk

richard crowd was 240,which is never bad for a midweek game,we have a lot of young supporters who go to the saturday games but probably don't go to evening games as their parents like to get them to bed early.Saying that i do know a few fannies that didn't brave the cold on tuesday and even admitted it!!

We will be ok though as we are 13 points clear and harlow also drop points, could have it wrapped up by next saturday,we tend to play better against the top sides and every team that comes down to the bridge seems to up their game 20-30% as do most sides when they play in a bigger stadium than they are used to,enfield town had two more than us against canvey which i would of thought was a much bigger game so i guess that all clubs have fans that don't fancy it when it gets a bit chilly!!
