promoting the club

Andy .

Heard on Radio 1 news this morning that Wrexham are trying to bring in more surport to there games by selling there tickets at there local Asda which seems to be working , wondered what you fans of the blue and white army thought and if there was any other idea`s you lot might have as the club does nothing to promote themselves enough .

Maybe there will be a good positive idea come out of this topic that the club could use to get the few more needed to help us in our push for PROMOTION.Up the Gate.

This kind of thing get brought up every now and again

Last season we had target 1000, and the general thought was that if we do better in the league the attendances would be higher

Seems not to be the case, thought the attendance for Tuesday was awful, where are all the other fans??

Best attendance nevertheless Andy out of all Ryman Premier league games on Tuesday night & as far as I could see better than some conference south & north attendances too.We just need to continue with the form of Tuesday & hopefully an increase will follow.

It never hurts to try other things though.

I was hugely dissapointed with the turn-out on Tuesday, but i think you have to put all these things into consideration

1. It was freezing cold

2. Our form has been woeful of late

3. We have not been good at home for a while

4. We were playing Leyton, which is not a well known non-league team

5. And also we have had a lot of games called-of, off late and they have thought that this game would have been off.

i was talking about this the other night, the start of the season went with a fizzle rather than a bang, there were a few reasons for this

1, no big promotion, last year we had a carnival we put margate name to a massive userbase!

2, the [****!!****] people saw last season is still in mind and the papers do not help.

3, no active advertisement by the club, for example in Mc Donalds, bus stops, parking tickets machines...

4, to make people try a product you need to make then think they are getting a deal so do offers like 3 for the price of 2 or prize a draw each week in the paper (remember advertisement is king)

5, i forgot what else i thought, but i like the idea of selling tickets in asda great idea that.

I thought the Asda/Tesco idea was a great one.

Plenty of local people there.

Whilst advertisements cost money, my biggest criticism is that last summer there was no basic marketing of the routine things such as shirt sponsorship/money for goals etc.All fundamental stuff requiring minimal time and money.

Club half heartedly woke up to shirt sponsorship in September-muct too late and surprise surprise, very few players have been sponsored this season.

Even now,if it was posted that for just £35 until end of season, you could sponsor a shirt and walk away with the shirt and a photo at end of season, there would be some takers.

Could esily raise £400
