On a smooth pitch that our hosts had worked on we played a double header in the Capital League tonight.

 

Basically, the two halves were seperate games and for 6 points.

 

The first half, we won 2 0, first goal a Tony Vincent header and the second a Shane Oakley strike after a storming Amos Foyewa run on the right.

 

The second half, entirely different, Leyton scored early doors and we eventually scored an equaliser by Adam Parker 5 minures from the end.

 

This gave us 4 points on the night.

Max - can I question the allocation of the points please - normally in a double header the match is over the usual ninety minutes, with the winning team getting six points, or two for a draw. I have never heard before of any league which gives the result at the half way stage and then starts another match.

My take on the recently applied rule is that the half time score is worth 3 points and the score at 90 minutes worth another 3. It seems odd to be playing 12 games for just 3 points over 90 minutes and another for 6.
