I still think Potters Bar Town should confine himself to the Ryman board even if he's the only one who posts on there, I don't see any reason at all why he should constantly come on here ruffling feathers and criticising other Clubs. Although I agree 1 up is a bit harsh Gav can you imagine 3 up from 12 Step 5 divisions. That would be 36 promoted and the bottom 6 from Step 4 leagues relegated.

But they have got a new division at Step 4 to fill next season. Ideally, they want more northern clubs to move up from the Northern League, North East Counties League and North West Counties League but these clubs (particularly the Northern League ones) have always been disinterested in making the move, mainly due to travelling. Therefore, they may need to move some of the existing midlands club into a more northernly league and the domino effect would be that more clubs in the midlands and the south be promoted to make up the numbers. For that reason, I have never expected it to be just one up from the step five leagues this season. I do hope that they choose to promote more than one club rather than not relegate anyone to fill any spaces purely on the basis that a club that finishes in the top two deserves the place more than a club that finishes in the bottom two.

Yes, Gavin, the one and the same. For some reason I can't seem to log on to this site. This is only the second time I've managed it.

 

I only usually flick through this forum briefly to check on Edgware-related topics, but finally decided to register.

 

I guess Rhodes gets hassle because he is passionate about his club, and it causes him to say some blinkered things. A bit like Gavin got some hassle a few months ago for the same reason. I can relate to Gavin of course, being a fellow Edgware follower. But I guess that is why Rhodes seems to have annoyed people; he has a Kentish Town-centred take on things.

rhodes has a rhodes centred view of things hence rhodesworld. He gets hassle because he posts without thinking, or without checking the content of the allegations he makes about individuals or clubs. Gavin can be insensitive in some of his comments about other clubs but his commitment to Edgware Town FC is duly respected.
