This is indeed great news, its nice to know that somthing is getting underway at last, going back to Margateshot post I do agree that the people that go along should do so to listen to what is being said and not give Mr Ezekiel a hard time.

Just got in & to be honest I was expecting more. These five-a-side pitches were supposed to have started around christmas time.Fair enough it seems it has taken longer than we were being told to get these up & running & despite the delays its nice to see things moving at long last with this..Good news indeed.

However,as I say,I was hoping for more, judging by the smiling faces I was seeing last night.

I suppose I should just be thankful that something has at last started.

Funny how this decision has been delayed until just before election day though. It obviously suits more than one party to see these begin at this time.

Anyway I now look forward to further announcements in the very near future concerning the other stages bearing in mind the ball has at last started to roll.

All in all I'm happy, obviously, but still slightly disappointed at the same time!

Or at least, lets hear what the proposed plan and timetable are, even if not commencing for some time.

Reading between the lines, it impllies that the ground itself won't start for sometime. Can live with that-slowly but surely;but that also means that IF we get promoted this season;and IF we were to do well in conf south,we would not have a ground acceptable to conference national.

Pure wishful thinking, and i'll settle for conf south for 2/3 seasons anyway, but am desperate to get out of the Ryman before we get overtaken by other Kent clubs

How could you say something like that about dear Sandy??

He does have the local populations interest at heart......does bugger all about it usually, but does have them at heart

Personally I think the club are doing it the right way. We must have money coming in on a regular basis, and the 5-a side pitches are a source of income. Although I would love to see the ground started, it has been adequate for this season and if we do get promotion it will be adequate for next season.

Agree with marate shot, although it would be nice to have a three -sided ground by the end of next season-maybe the Tivoli end devepoed

As long as things were 'happening' it would be interesting to go along and see progress during the season ,and if anything would add to the excitement.

One more cold and wet season would not kill anyone as long as we could see things being built.
