[Margate Football Club]

Margate Football Club is delighted to confirm that Phase 1 of the proposed redevelopment of Hartsdown Park can now proceed.

 

Phase 1 delivers the Community elements of the scheme, consisting of our new 5 a-side Centre. Work is due to start on site in April/May 07 with completion due before the start of next Season.

 

The Club would like to thank the Council for the support we have received and Council Leader, Sandy Ezekiel will be attending a presentation evening to be held in the Social Club on Friday 23 March 2007 at 7pm, when he will address both local residents and supporters.

I hope some supporters don't give SE a hard time at the meeting. I think that the board and the council have been working on this for some time, and so despite previous feelings, we need to give the guy some respect. Lets face it we don't know what the problems were with the old board, and he is obviously prepared to face us on Friday. As I stated last week, the board were obviously working hard towards this without saying anything so as not to upset the apple-cart. What excellent news, and with work starting almost immediately, this is just the boost that the club needs to go all out for promotion. An excellent week so far, lets top it off on Saturday.
