Hookey (or should I say Joe), hope all is well with you and good to see little Joe still knocking it about. Saw the report on the website and a fair reflection of the game. Note also about the standard i.e. Ryman, ESL etc. However, I don't believe that plays a part in this league in most cases. It also depends on how you use these games, hopefully we look to progress our youngsters and one day they will get an opportunity with the first team. Therefore, I believe its not about winning, leagues etc.

Thanks for that Gav. What I meant about the standard wasn't just aimed at the quality of the reserve players, it was also the ability of the clubs to throw in first teamers who maybe need match fitness following an injury or suspension.

 

When Basildon's ressies played Dag & Red's ressies back in Feb (Before Joe joined from Tilbury) the Daggers had no fewer than 5 first teamers in the team that day, including Chris Moore, who the previous week had been playing for Brentford.

 

I certainly agree it's not about winning at reserve level, but about performances and development.

 

Some good players at Ricay (I like the look of young Pegg) and it was nice to see some familiar faces again.

 

Not sure about Basildon's plans, we've only been going over there since the beginning of this month.

BASILDON UTD RES 4 - 2 BILLERICAY TOWN RES.

 

F*ck me, what a turn around!!! From a 5-0 thrashing to a 2-4 reversal in 6 weeks.

 

More or less the same players for both sides, but a massive difference in performance, from both teams.

 

Here is my take on the game, I'd love to see Ricay's.
