ROSCOE D'SANE

I think a lot of this is to do with Conference players not being released to play in this squad.

Matt Murray being a prime example of Browne's 'talent for spotting youngsters early'. Not good enough for Slough, but good enough for division One Wolves and the England U-21 team.

To be fair, I think Murray was brought in on loan from Wolves. As for Roscoe D'Sane.. one never knows if it was Browne letting him slip through the net or whether the player used Slough as a stepping stone (i.e. to keep match fit and in the shop window). Both only played a couple of games and didn't impress me in that time. A little too short to really judge though.

My cousin, who posts on here as Matt C, is a Wolves fan and when we travelled up to a game last season we spoke to Murray outside the ground. He stated that Browne had the option of keeping him a lot longer than he did but thought he was not good enough. The funniest (or maybe saddest) thing about when we spoke to him was that he laughed when he heard Browne was still in charge. What does that tell us!

BROWNE OUT (UNOFFICIALLY ENDORSED BY WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS AND ENGLAND UNDER 21 PLAYER MATT MURRAY) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So having dismissed Steve Browne's ability to spot a good player (or his ability to do anything, actually) who are the players we have that could play at a higher level (hopefully with Slough)?

Personally, I've never understood the abuse that Ryan Spencer gets. I think he could be a great asset although not at centre forward judging by Tuesday! Steve Daly could play at a higher level as could Sammy and Tony. Byron could as well although is a typical winger, i.e. when he's on song he's great but often drifts in and out. The one that stood head and shoulders above everyone else for me from the moment I saw him (regrettably for us) was Veli. All in my humble opinion of course

Having read my last post it sounds like I'm criticising others for commenting on Steve Browne's ability! Sorry, it came across wrong - I think he's a donkey as much as the next person. Probably harsh to donkey's in fact.
