the best game of ESL football i have ever seen

WOW!!!

It was a freezing cold night and seriously thought I was going to die from frost bite.

I looked at barkings side and it looked weak. No Vaughan, carr or jones up front.

Romford took the lead 10 minutes in from a corner right under the cross bar that tucker maybe should have done better with but ended up being headed home, scorer unknown. Romford were definitely in the ascendancy with tucker making numerous saves but barking having the best chance when a free header at the back post was looped over finn but no quite in the goal, then an overhead in the scuffles came crashing off the underside of the bar and was possibly over the line! The first half was decent but I cant hardly remember it cos the second half was immense.

So h/t 1-0 romford and really it looked like Romfords game all day as barking didn’t look like scoring. What I hadn’t realised was that carr Vaughan and jones were all on bench. I thought Vaughan was suspended for this game and don’t know why none of the 3 started.

Carr came on at half time and looked lively.

The tricky barking winger victor made one of a number of mazy runs that resulted in him being clipped by finn going away from goal. The ref decided penalty which I though was harsh but there was contact. Reedy was on the pitch, finn was booked as was another Romford player. Tucker was in the Romford penalty area and having all sorts of banter. It was going off all over. The ref looked like the motivation man on the fat camp programs and he was here there and everywhere. After 5 or more minutes he trotted up the other end to book tucker who was getting all sorts of banter from the Romford fans. After all that carr dispatched the penalty and 1-1 looked like we had game on.

However within about 2 minutes barking were not concentrating, they gave away a corner and what followed… another Romford goal. Again the ball waqs like a pinball and got crashed home, scorer unknown as by now I was behind finns goal with barking fans.

At this point it was game over and all I could see was another goal for Romford. They got this soon after. Again score unknown but a great goal, the ball sat up nicely and the fella just guided it over tuckers head who had found himself in no mans land.

Romford fans started singing “lets all do the tucker” and flapping their hands in the air – superb.

So at 3-1 it was game over and was further put to bed when gallen scored a great goal shooting across tucker off the inside of the post.

Romford fans were then singing “can we play you every week”

WHAT A SCHOOLBOY ERROR ON THEIR PART!!!!!!!!!!

At 4-1 barking sent on Vaughan and jones and we couldn’t understand why. If they were being rested why send them on at 4-1?????????????

Carr was sent through by Vaughan and he slotted under finn. Barkings tails were up but they would surely not get back into this one. The noise behind the goal was rising and a long throw resulted in Romford not clearing their lines and from the edge of the box a worldy of a volley was sent in top corner. I had actually called that barking would score here!!!!

4-3 and it was obvious the Romford boys arseholes were quivering a bit. They had to win this game, nothing else would do.

5 minutes from time barking were awarded a soft free kick right on the edge of the box, perfect position for a left footer and what a left footer barking have in Vaughan…..

Again I called exactly where he would put the ball and he did. It sailed into the top corner of the net and it all erupted.

Tucker was over mugging the Romford fans off on the halfway line and the impossible had happened.

Suddenly barking looked like they could win the game!!!! Romford were all over the place. In injury time BARKING WERE AWARDED A PENALTY!!!!!!! Again very soft decision from mr motivator but t was given.

The trusty left foot of Vaughan stepped up and sent the worst of penaltys almost down the middle, slightly to the keepers right. But amazing FINN SAVED THE PEN!!!!

My now I had an absolute ROD ON. What a game off football. Barking still had chances to win it but Romford held on.

I will say one more thing, I would not have liked to have been in the Romford dressing room after the game. Ouch.

But what a great show both sides put on. Superb.

the players deserved everything they got from reedy after the game.

First 70 old minutes we were Class went 4-1 up and then went to sleep.

as soon as barking got the second we could all see them getting the other two goals back.

And smallsy did you like the "are you smallsy in disguise" chants after tucker got lobbed
