a game of two halves and wind assisted...we started strongly and dominated the first half...missed several chances and went into the break 1-0 courtesy of another fine Krissy Lee volley.....second half different again as W&F gained confidence with the wind behind them and then scored a sloppy goal courtesy of a dale dropped ball which rebounded to their striker who poked it home........

 

he made amends with a truly world class save in the later stages but all in all a poor performance from the weary looking urchins tonight...bonus was harlow losing at ware so its 13 points clear and only 8 games to go... good turnout of 244 on a very cold and windy essex night so well done everyone and onwards to hopefully a sunny day at the bridge on saturday..a better performance form the lads and 3 points against the 'congregation' from sudbury....

[Wivenhoe Urchin]

wingate have caused some shock results this year, one being at sudbury, but if it was a poor performance then a draw will be taken as good. Looking forward to saturday, I will be relieved of pressure with a month off and give my usual vocal support!

[Eastside Urchin]

they are not a bad side in all honesty,have some quick players and were first to most balls in second half.They did look the most likely team to win the game once they had scored but that was partly due to the fact that that the wind was against us

Fair play to Wingate, I wouldn't see it as 4 points dropped against them but 2 points gained.

 

They looked equally as good as Bury did when they played us at home but both teams have obviously lacked consistantcy otherwise they'd be up the top. We didn't play terrific but nonetheless, a going point earned.
