Tonights game

Too true Dill. Can't knock the entertainment value, but doesn't do a lot for the Blood Pressure!

Being two points of the leaders with a game in hand; we're still pretty well placed. But it's gonna be close!

A really disappointing result after being 2-0 up (and being 1-0 in the first game), but a point is a point, and as has already been said, 2 points off the lead with a game in hand, its still in our hands. Could have been better but could have been worse too.

Well done to all that braved the trip to Walton, at least the game is finally out of the way.

Still all to play for, but we need to pick up the points away from new lodge, hopefully starting on Saturday. Weve got a tough run in, but its there to be won and we have the players to do it. Congrats to DW for his first goal for Town, 1 goal and 1 assist in a match and a half, good stuff.

Roll on Saturday please.

Really was an evening where the team suffered a collective nose bleed!!!

We were cruising at 2 zip when we just let it slip. The second half we really just ran out of ideas and perhaps were a bit nervous (sorry, someone said that we looked tired, I don't subscribe to that...we looked nervous).

Credit must go to Walton, who played well and but for a clear cut chance, could've had all three points. For me, some players went missing (I'm not going to name names, I'll leave that to those that feel the need to vent their spleens). The only two players that appeared to keep going and not give up , were Hunter and Gameo (Gameo had a 40 yard strike hit the bar in the second half!!!). A point won in my opinion. We all said that this evening wasn't going to be easy and Walton's new manager has got his team scrapping for results....

As has been said on this link, it's going to be tight!!!

I think that tonight really underlined the need to keep our discipline - 2 players suspended and I am pretty confident that had they not been we would have won. Both Walton goals came from crosses of the sort that Heffer and Blewitt have been dealing well with most of the season... We had a bad ten minutes which is disappointing because it was more about us losing concentration than anything else.

Going forward, Wareham did well early on but faded a bit and i would have liked to see him track back a bit more. Good to see him score and I think there's plenty more to come there. Flack got another goal and did well, but we need for others to step up to the plate in the goal scoring stakes.

Team

Worster

McSweeney Swaine Dormer Kerrigan

Whelpdale Hunter Game Wareham

Flack Burbridge

Subs

Hodges for Wareham

Allen for Flack

SNU: Hill, Holland, Semanshia

On a night that i can only describe as being the coldest watching footie since Aveley?! it was i suppose a tad disappointing to concede a 2 goal advantage. However, this "may" be a blessing in disguise. I firmly believe that our lads knew they had not done themselves justice and believe we will see a totally different performance on Saturday. Ironically we came out of the traps fireing and on the basis of having 2 out and out wingers from the off looked capable at one stage of netting a few. This though hopefully will serve as a wake up call that once gaining the advantage not to take the foot off the gas. The pitch was bobbly, but we handled that well - so no complaints.

So lads, well done on a point ultamately won, as Bromley slipped up, but lets step up the heat again wink

But credit to Walton. Once again a totally different side that looks like they can upset teams.

A disappointing score having gone 2 up…. but a good result.

Not losing away is always a good result, and if we can maintain our home record then we’re in with a shout. A loss last night would have been a blow, a point away is what's required, and maybe with a bit of luck we might nick the odd away win.

I thought the team worked their socks off last night, Swain had another good game and the midfield pair were outstanding with Matt game as my MOTM. Ricky had another good game I thought, he was being failed all night, doubled up on, and he still won just about everything, also thought he unlucky with that oh so close miss near the end showing great strength and skill to create the opening.

With Bromley losing to Harrow last night it show's just how tough this run in is gonna be, every point will have to be hard earned and every point is going to be a bonus.

c'mon you blues,
