Couldn't tell about the pitch - the lights weren't working

well obviously they were! may as well not have though!

pitched looked in good nick saturday, i presume it would have yesterday too,i think it is hard to roll a pitch when it is in such a bad state as it could make it worse!

Was asked to look at the electrics by Roy and Chris, when I got there a rather portly windsor chap was very errrmm....'welcoming'! Didn't want my help, and when I and a Boreham wood squad member said that the fuse was overloaded we were told we didn't know what we were on about.Seemed a low ampage to me and the Boreham chap, although the Windsor bloke was obviously right , seeing as I was told by the lady in the tea bar that 'it happens all the time'.

 

Have to say, that other than Slough, Boreham Wood are the worst team I have seen here all season. The score line was so flattering!

 

I want 'Frey bentos' back so we can at least have a laugh when we get hammered.

Saying that, I had goalkeeping legend Noel Imber biting after about 2 minutes!!

I just reminded him of my birthday, away to hayes, lose 5 nil, and best save of the match was by Derek Simpson. the Left back dived expertly to the left corner and tipped the ball wide (Voted Banging with Mannings Save of the season!). I asked simmo why he did that, and, on my life , this is what he told me. " That c**t wasn't bothering so i thought I would." Imber never moved for any of the Goals. I always say he is our worst ever keeper.....Lahiff? No, at least he made some saves.

Best thing was, Imber turned and said to me "Done well since I've left aint ya" I reminded him that if we are so [****!!****] why is he playing against us at the same level, he said"look at my record" , Conference top 10 afew times, (ok we are [****!!****] now) semi of the trophy, league cup win. fa cup first rounds, and the walsall win I reply, so he then suggests meet him for a drink to discuss it......... The Gay.
