Slagging Players off??? Why????

why is it that people keep slagging the players off??? last season it was Deano, at the beggining off this season it was abbo now its DH. its like you enjoy putting the players down!!!!

I dont know lil Sis. its pathetic really. especially if they play for the team they support. you would have thought that they would back them but obviously alot of supports dont see things like we do!!!

I personally haven't slagged DH off but surely those commenting on a players form is surely NOT "slagging them off"! Well its not in my book anyway.Part & parcel of a footballers life isn't it?

I gave my opinion of Deano last season & in my mind he wasn't up to it.In no way was my criticsms of his form meant to be a "Slagging off" of him personally.I do think others,such as Missy(above) take it as that(maybe because they like the player in question no matter what) & therefore we get threads like this emerging.

yes but i dont see why. you can not expect them to play brilliant day-in-day out (or in our case sat-to-sat) everyone has bad days and our situation isnt helping him

Of course we dont expect them to do it every game.They are only human after all.But commenting on a players form,whether it be because of one match or a string of matches isn't "Slagging them off".There is a difference I think.

I'm also sure that any player if he is underachieving,whether it be for the one game or more would EXPECT some kind of criticism from certain fans. Surely it goes with the job.They get the praise when they do well too you know! Its not all one-sided.

ok so we're not slgging them off but we are putting them down!!! i remeber last season Deano had read what was said about him and it made his confidence drop. surly we want our players to do well and do their best. haveing a moan at them aint going to do anything but make them fell bad. everyone hates it when we lose like we have been lately but instead off just moving on a look at the next game and see how we can improve we moan. we never look at the positives only look at the negitives. and yes we have had very few positive things to look at lately but we should be supporting them no matter what and helping them to improve , structual critism i think thay call it!?!?!

i never said YOU where slagging them off i meant its just a little harsh on some of the players beacause you expect for them to do well and they have to work as a team its not just HD's fault!

Try and understand that we all make observations on players form. I myself have commented that Danny Hockton is not playing anywhere near as well as earlier in the season and if you actually watch him he just doesn't seem himself sometimes. I would not slag any player off - even Charlie, he's always been a favourite of mine, but I know that the young SCS is an excellent keeper and should be favoured over Charlie.

i know he doesnt but sometimes on here people just go overboard, and i dont think it should go that far. i know a lot of the players lately havent been playing well but it just seems that some off the comments they make are a bit harsh on the players. i know its part and parcel of football but i dont think it should go overboard!! players will end up not wanting to play for margate with some off the comments people make

I understand what you're saying! Yes, there are certain posters on here (you know who you are!!!) who overstep the mark sometimes but we all have MFC's best interests at heart. We all want to see them win matches AND promotion!!

 

I for one will never slag any player off - all my comments are from observations either from when I get my butt to a match or from Matchday commentary!
