My team against Leyton

Assuming McKimm and Skinner injured,(and Abbott ) my team v Leyton :

SCS

Oates Sappleton Smith Jackson

Saunders Protheroe Standen Bagley

Pinnock Hockton.

subs Mitten,Wisker,Trott,Donovan,Allen.

Rationale-Mitten and trott-prone to the odd error so on subs bench;and RT needs to see whats going wrong from the sidelines.

Play Smith in his supposed best position against one of the weaker sides.

JJ -looks unfit to me, but can do a steady job at full back;and whilst he can also play well there, think we need DS energy and bite in midfield.

Once we have taken a 3 goal half time lead, bring Wisker and Allen on for Hockton and Jackson and play bagley up front

Think that shakes things up a bit without going too far.

its just so easy from the armchair !!

If we are without Macca and Skins:

SCS

Oates Sappleton Trott Standen

Bagley Protheroe Saunders Jackson

Pinnock Hockton

subs Mitten, Donovan, Smith, Wisker, Stellon

Gives us a pacey winger (Stellon) on the bench if Hockton isnt at the races again. Bagley can go up front if necessary. Might give Danny Hockton a kick up the backside if he knows there is an option there if he's not performing.

Smith an option to come on at left back if Bagley is having a bad game with Standen moving to CM and either Proths or Jay moving to right wing. Options are there and should be in the players minds before kickoff so they know they have to perform if they want to keep their place.

Sorry MM but IMO we have to have Jacko at left wing. Without him I think we will seriously struggle to get service to the final third.

Jackson a sheer waste at the back Michael i.m.o. We lose any threat we have & thats not much lately. Without him our service into the box is nil.Without his shooting ability & pin point crosses into the box I fail to see how we can get 3 goals in front.

Dosen't matter too much(within reason) which team we put out there. If they go out there with the right attitude we can beat anyone.Folkestone Invicta yesterday a prime example.

We are not going to be able to just turn up & walk over teams. We must adopt an attitude of not giving up,not wanting to lose & in getting a result. To do that without the fancy footwork we must be on their backs, close them down & GRAFT!! Oh & not make panic passes!(Are you listening Trotty?)

In the next 5 home games we must assert OUR superiority over the oppositions & not allow them to do it to us..Dictate to THEM.We are at home after all!

Come on now we can win these next 5.If Trotty can instill the right attitude into the players(preferably in the changing room prior to kick-off & again at half-time)then we are threequarters of the way to getting a result before we have even kicked a ball.

I would put Paul Axon on the bench. I belive only 16 biu really impressd me on Tuesday night. The way he instantly controlled one pass to him was worth the admission price on its own. Watch out for the name and remember who told you first.

Paul Axon

Thought long and hard for at least 20 seconds about Standen or JJ at full back.

Opted for JJ on basis that DS brings real energy and bite (too much at times) to midfield, and whilst DH is a decent full back, i think JJ is slightly better in that role;-better positional sense-and if anything, by being deeper, JJ could get more ball, and therefore more opportunity than he is currently, to put in those quality crosses.Meanwhile as i say, DS brings energy and quite a good creatice passing range to midfield

I was impressed but still alot to learn especially he's disision making at times. Also that hythe team were quite young aswell I wonder what he would be like up agaist some of the big strong no holds barred defenders in the league. I think he needs time and a good season within the reserves and under 18s to gain a bit more experience.

I would put JJ in at left mid as this is his best position by a mile, don't move to many players out of position and just replace the missing players with the squad players. Smith can play anywhere at the back Wisker and standen are mid field and baggley can play wide right he's favoured positon or upfront. So in my view just put those players in where we have players missing for whatever reason.
